Who is the author and why is it public domain in Mali? Patrick Rogel (talk) 21:26, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
As you can see, this image has been taken in the museum in Basel, not in Mali. There is no author mentioned, it's a product of worship made by an artisan, not a work of art. And the guide (in French) Paille-d'or, n° 131, p. 79, only refers this image to a poster of the 1950s. Any image is not, by definition, a work of art. (Ismoon (talk) 22:02, 12 September 2019 (UTC))
Delete Mali or Switzerland, this is protected by copyright for seventy years from the death of the author. (Being a "work of art", particularly in a sense that excludes posters made by artisans, is not required for copyright.) Note that Mali arguably protects this work indefinitely.--Prosfilaes (talk) 08:06, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
