- It causes no harm if it is not deleted. And your linked site states: "Files that are not of the same file type are not duplicates". With all the developments happening here and outside of Wikimedia projects, you never know if files with different extensions might become useful again. I wouldn't create them intentionally, but if they're already there, they might as well stay. Especially since deleting them doesn't free up any storage space anyway. - Not here. Only those who have an direct access to the server can truely finally delete thing. All we others are only hide things to the public. All we delete is still on the server, we can restore it mostly. As every year on January 1st, when the then finally free images are restored. Marcus Cyron (talk) 17:33, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Moin Marcus, schau bitte mal das Bild an - das habe ich 2022 in Leipzig gemacht und dann mal hochgeladen. Heute hat mich ein Benutzer darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass da ein handschriftlich geschmiertes Todesdatum draufsteht. Habe ich beim Hochladen nicht bemerkt. Ist in der Form natürlich "nicht optimal". Kannst du das sofort löschen oder muss ich einen LA stellen? Danke und Grüße Mef.ellingen (talk) 20:22, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
